Mommy’s Plate

I knew there would be a time when I wouldn’t be the apple of Little Benjamin’s eye.

But, geez, he’s only 18 months old!

There is another Filipina woman who has stolen his heart.

When he was younger, he had a thing for Kris Aquino, but that was short-lived.

 
Now, he only has eyes for Sarah Geronimo.

My little man spends every weekday with his Lolo and Lala (grandparents) and they watch The Filipino Channel.  In fact, his first three syllable word was “Wowowee!”, a popular Filipino variety and game show.  That show has a lot of scantily clad dancing Filipinas on it.

But what stops him dead in his tracks, causes him to ignore even offers of food and cookies, and leads him to not even respond to his own mommy?  Sarah Geronimo…

 

I wanted to get a picture of Benji when he is watching The Filipino Channel and she pops on the screen, but I kept forgetting the camera.  Soooo, here’s the next best thing.  I took pictures of him watching the above video and when it ended, it came over to me, pointed his little finger into my upper chest, poked me a couple times, and said “den” (again) and nodded his head at me.  So, I obliged.  He watched almost three times before moving on to something else. 

 

I wonder if he’ll have a penchant for the Filipinas when he’s older…
